3d New England had one of the best 2023 teams at the event. Here are some of the top players from their squad that stood out to our evaluators and helped out their stock for Top66 consideration:
Owen Bunten, A, Deerfield Academy (Ma.): Received player of the game honors. Righty with good size and finishing abilities. Probably had the highest shooting percentage at the event.
Grayson McClements, A, Nobles and Greenough School (Ma.): Another great performance from Mclements. The quarterback of their offense. A complete attackmen with all of the tools to be an elite college attackman.
Ralphie Vogel, M, Milton Academy (Ma.): Vogel has an extremely high IQ with good size and skill set. He has great vision and sees the field differently than others.
Kyle Goodwin, D, Newton North High School (Ma.): A complete defender with strength, skill, speed and IQ. Can match up with all types of attackmen. He made plays when he took runs at LSM as well.
Jimmy Ayers, A, Saint John’s Prep (Ma.): Such a fun player to watch. SIlky smooth with a great IQ. He has a quick first step as an initiator but also proved that he doesn't need the ball in his stick to be effective.
Mac Oneil, D, Holderness School (N.H.) : O'neil is tall, long and strong. He has a big presence on the field and makes a lot of plays that go unnoticed because of his size and length. When he hedges or shows dodgers often give up the ball. He made several great plays off the ground and with the ball.
Charlie Hoffman, A, Saint Sebastian's School (Ma.): Hoffman is a lefty with a heavy shot along with great speed and vision. He made some nice plays getting top side and hammering shots on the run as well drawing slides and finding an open teammate.
Ryan Mourad, M/SSDM, Xaverian Brothers High School (Ma.): Athletically was on another level than his competition. I can see him being a high level SSDM but has the skill set to play offense as well.
